Pictures from the 2008 Women's Conference
Let me share. I just need to share.
So a few hours ago, someone yelled into the media tent: "Still Photographers, come with me!" I looked and Donna and Liz. They looked at me and we somehow collectively agreed that I would go. I wasn't exactly sure where I was going, but I grabbed my awesome Sony DSLR, Donna's tiny Canon camera and I walked out of the media tent.
I followed the professional photographers, hoping that they would not discover that I didn't completely fit in. You see, there were "crews" in each pod. Someone held the professional camera, that is bigger than my body. Then there was another one holding the lights. There were others holding the microphones. Yup, this is what you would you would call, THE PAPARAZZI.
Plus me, nestled in this group.
So we walked through the convention center and landed smack front and center (of course) of the main convention hall, ready to hear the Luncheon Session with Maria Shriver and friends. There was some pushing and shoving going on, some maneuvering to be front and center. But I did not budge. No, with my tiny camera's in hand, I was NOT moving. I had my press badge around my neck, two camera's in hand... and I began to shoot away.
Did I mention that I was less than twenty feet away from Maria Shriver, Christina and Katherine Schwarzenegger, Deborah Norville and Condoleezza Rice?
