No Techcrunch Party For You Jill!

I was just told that I "don't belong" at tomorrow nights Techcrunch Party, co-hosted by my best friends husband at HIS office.  Why should 700 OTHER people get to play while I am stuck at home watching my kids?  I know that invites to Techcrunch were nearly impossible to get - but for god sake, I am best friends with his wife!  My kids are best friends with HIS kids!  So I may not be a 20 something hip cool blogger, but I am a mommy blogger!  Doesn't that count for something?

I know that he can't say "no" to his very hip-cool-mommy-blogging wife. I know who wears the designer pants in that relationship.   So it is really my friend Pamela that has prevented me from scoring an invite and attending the "Party Of The Year".  Pam refuses to push for a golden ticket because she claims that she has nothing to wear and her husband has obviously convinced her that the party would just not be that much fun for a mommy blogger.  Hello - I have seen your closet - you have a lot to wear!

Why do I want to go to this party?  Rumors have it that Guy Kawasaki & of course Mike Arrington (Mr. Techcrunch himself) will be there.  As someone relatively new to the blogging world and co-founder of a REALLY COOL Mom Blog, I though that just maybe they would want to share some blogging tips with me.....

Help me to convince Pamela to use one of the few privileges she has to being married to the co-host of this party.  And, her birthday is the same day as Mike Arrington.    Hey Mike, if Pamela and David won't do me this favor - does it help that we link to your blog from SV Moms Blog?  Pamela suggests that I go as the streaker..... ick!  Maybe I should just buy a ticket on ebay?

So now what am I left to do? I am hoping to be there tomorrow night with or without my best friend.  Won't Pamela be jealous if my photo ends up in Valleywag and not hers? If you see David at the party, please ask him if his wife and best friend made the cut.  If not, please pinch him for me.
