Fun Election Facts to Know and Tell
While I was writing up a little something on one of the Democratic presidential candidates, I also stumbled on his MySpace page! I had forgotten that in this era of online social networking that the White House hopefuls were making their presence felt in cyberspace as well as the more traditional outlets.
The main stream media spend so much time focusing on the candidates' positions on issues, especially Iraq, that I wondered what fun and relatively unknown tidbits I could discover about the candidates from their online presence that isn't getting the coverage it should?
Maybe these 'fun facts to know and tell' will only be good conversation starters for next couple of months, but a little trivia can still be fun!
1. Christopher Dodd wants to hear what you are listening to on your iPod so he can put together a Dodd Pod! I was a little disappointed because the link says it would tell me what he's been listening to recently, but so far, no list.
3. According to John McCain's MySpace page his favorite movie is Viva Zapata, which is described by one site as: "The story of Mexican revolutionary Emiliano Zapata, who led a rebellion against the corrupt, oppressive dictatorship of president Porfirio Diaz in the early 20th century."
4. The song Mitt Romney has posted on his MySpace page at the moment is A Little Less Conversation by Elvis Presley. Hmmmm.
5. Barack Obama and I have 15 LinkedIn connections in common, but I only have two in common with Hillary Clinton.
6. Mitt Romney is a Pisces. Hillary is a Scorpio.
7. Apparently the Statue of Liberty is voting for Rudy Giuliani.
I'm sure there's plenty more good candidate trivia out there -- do you have any favorites?
