Dirty. And Sexy. And I'm Loving It
In my new-found free time away from blogging, I'm happily watching all the shows on "premiere week." Last night, I watched ABC's new show Dirty, Sexy Money. And you thought your family was f'd up.
The show details the life and dramas of the Darling family (think Paris Hilton's clan on more drugs and more fur.) Family lawyer dies, panic ensues, lawyer's son joins the ranks as new family lawyer. It's a little cliche, but at least the show doesn't take itself so seriously. And I'm voting Nick George (oh how I've missed Peter Krause since Six Feet Under) as the new Bobby Ewing. Any takers? I mean, DSM makes Dynasty look tame.
Nick George and Bobby Ewing: Separated at birth?
The only thing I'm not going for so far is the weird, seemingly incestuous twin brother/ sister thing they've got going on. They'd make a cute couple, but still. The cuddling on the couch was a little creepy.
With mom-brain on the mind I'm always looking for something to distract me from the realities of my day-to-day grind. And remind me that my parenting skills aren't that bad. Sometimes it's really nice to live vicariously (although I could do without all the cheating and stealing and general family chaos) through my DVR.
